Alright I have tried to look through iPtF forums for awhile now and I do not see the solution to the problem in any threads. This is a 1st generation iPod Touch. It has an iPhone firmware oddly enough and think's it's an iPhone. When trying DFU mode, I get the NPEBEA steve jobs in a black background picture. The iPod starts up; but it is disabled and tries to search for a network and tries to activate. I CANNOT use the standard DFU method, any ideas guys?

    USB ports are 100% fine.
    Running Windows 7.
    iTunes 9.1.
And YES the USB cord is fine.
    My computer is fine.

I'm trying to restore this iPod Touch. Not having much luck with DFU atm.

iTunes does not recognize the device at all.
