How do I get my computer to recognize my iphone on itunes when Steve Jobs is saying NPEBEA! at me? Im trying to completly restore my iphone... I was able to get my computer to recognize my phone once by a random series of power/home button mashings, but then the connection was lost pretty quickly. any suggestions please??

    thx

    Device:
    iPhone 4 (Black)
    uplug iphone from usb cord
    shut down itunes
    turn off iphone
press home button and power button for ~10 seconds
when the iphone screen starts back up, plug in the usb cord.
let itunes open up automatically, read the screen, it should say something about "itunes has recognized that your Iphone is in restore mode... blah....blah". click on "update & restore" tab.

fyi - this will update you to the 3.0 software. please research about jailbreak and unlocking before you come back b*tching that you cant make calls.

i havent done DFU for a while but i think this is right

when your iphone is PLUGGED in do this:

hold down both the power and the home button for 10 seconds

let go of the power button but keep pressing the home button until you hear the "software recognised" noise on windows

itunes should pop up saying that your iphone needs to be restored.

    hope that helps
