Does anyone know what happened to nowstream. It seamed to have caused some big waves about a year ago and I haven't been able to find any info on it since. The app supposedly allowed you to download torrent files directly to your device without the need for it to be jail broken. This idea really appealed to me and I understand they had a working beta. Any info would be greatly appreciated thank you!
Why not jailbreak? If you are on iOS 5.1.1 on any device you can currently jailbreak it untethered with redsn0w 0.9.14b1. If not on 5.1.1, you can currently update to it. I would advise you hurry before Apple releases iOS 6! And don't worry, there is literally zero risk of you breaking your device by jailbreaking, as you can always restore (even if you try really hard to mess it up).
For whatever reason I have not been able to jailbreak my device. I've tried using 3 different computers and enlisted the help of a friend who successfully jailbroke his iPod touch 4g which is the same device I have. I also used the latest version of redsn0w. Neither of us can figure out what's wrong. Thank for the speedy reply though! (ps. I've watched a couple hours worth of YouTube videos on the subject please don't send a link)
