Now that the iPhone is out in 3G, what about the iPod Touch?

    hey
    i was just wondering, now that the iPhone is available is 3G making it so much easier to buy one, do you think that the value of the iPod touch will decrease?

    They will then either make a 64gb ipod, get rid of the 8gb model and make the 64gb the price that the 32gb model, and the 32gb model will be lowered to the price of the 16gb.

    If not that, then Apple won't do anything with the iPod Touch since I think it was just a smart marketing strategy to get people to want the iPhone.

    It will decrease and or come out with a new model when Christmas gets closer

    No. iPod Touch is selling WAAAAAAY too much for them to drop the price. Think about it... A new game system just came out, and they release the same thing but it has more features, but an extra $50 a month. The first one sells WAAAAAAY more, so the other gets a price drop. People still will buy the first one because there isn't a $50 monthly fee to it. Do you get what I'm saying?

    64? i would love that for an ipod touch... i need more space! haha

    umm of course not... why would they give you back money? that's the whole point of marketing...

    haha you wish.

    But if you have the 8gb model and they decrease price, you can use warranty (if ipod is broken) and they will replace it with the higher model.
