so i updated my ipod touch (2nd generation) to the new 3.0 firmware, directly from itunes, and it seems like everything's fine. the new spotlight search works, and all of the other stuff, BUT... nothing that requires wifi works (such as the app store or email). it just sits there and says loading with the little spinny wheel thing (except on email app it says "checking for mail").

wifi connects fine (although it shows a number instead of bars). is the numeral signal display thing normal?

i updated my ipod from being jailbroken directly to the 3.0 firmware, could that have anything to do with it?

i had the same problem! a restart and waiting an hour worked... it fixed itself.
I could get on the net, but weather / app store wouldnt work.

    try restarting it.
