For all the users that complain about having to pay for 3.0, stop. The Sarbanes-Oxley act is why Apple charge iPod Touch users for the updates, whereas iPhone users who pay $70 p/month, get it free. Please stop complaining about this fact. If you are still determined to change this fact, feel free to pay more than $10 dollars to bring it to the courts.

    MOD EDIT

No more whining. It's $10 to upgrade to the 3.0 firmware for iPod touch owners. It's a legal issue related to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the subject was discussed to death when the 2.0 update came out. I'll be locking up all new threads made on this subject.

People just need to stop whining.

They have $200+ ipods and iphones.

    They buy apps.

There should be no reason as to why they cannot pay $9.95

I'm sure most of the people who are to cheap to pay the $10 are the same bastards who are too cheap to pay indie developers for their apps.

Hopefully this will stop a few of the "I DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR 3.0!!:'(" threads to stop. I doubt it will, but you never know.

If you complain about paying for 3.0 you shouldn't be allowed to own an ipod touch

it was stupid how they charged us for 2.0 though because they were making us pay so that we could make them money by buying apps. And now they want us to pay for copy and paste and landscape mail and notes etc. all simple things that should already be there.

believe it or not some people cant afford 10 bucks, the only reason they got their hands on an ipod is because it was a gift, as was mine. 10 bucks for my family means a small lunch for me and my bro for a few days at school. i know i shouldnt be complaining, since id never have the money to buy an ipod if it wasnt a gift, but wouldnt it be nice to have simple functions that should have been included for free?
