Because I keep my iPod on, and never switch it off, I normally have to switch it off once a week, or it keeps on crashing.
So I turned it off now, after TTR crashed on me, so I turned the iPod off completley, and now it won't turn back on, nothing, I've plugged the charging cord in, nothing, I've held the Sleep/Wake Button in for minutes and it just won't turn on.
Should I just leave it, and try later on?
Or try do something in iTunes?

During the process I am going to explain the iPod's screen will remain off until restore.

You need to enter it in to DFU mode:
Hold down the home and power button for 10 seconds.
Let go of the power button while holding the home button.
In about 20-30 seconds iTunes will recognize it and you can restore.
