    The permissions were probably changed.

    Try this command:

    chmod 4755 /var/mobile/(whatever the file is in the proper directory)

    /\/\ if that doesn't work you could try a different ssh client

    BTW, the dtunes directory is this:
    /var/mobile/Library/Downloads

    so you'd open up a terminal and type

    chmod 4755 /var/mobile/Library/Downloads/Name_of_File.extension

    Are you sure it's not symlinked anywhere?

    And wearmaize, if he's logging in as root, he would see all files, so perms aren't a problem.

    Ed: IPlaya: people come here for iPod touch help. Please don't just tell them to go to YouTube.

    I thought that in 2.x.x the user was mobile.

    When you log in to SSH, you should be logging in as root. He says dTunes sees them, but SSH doesn't, which is actually the opposite of what should be the problem.

    @gitykins
    You are right mate, I can see those files in dtunes but when I login as root in winscp and navigate to /var/mobile/dowloads I don't see those files but I think I did play with the permissions
    Could some please explain me the command told by wearmaize I think I should try that.

    Wait, you need to go /var/mobile/Library/Downloads
