    Just take it slow with the "hacking."
    If you start to early you will probably run into some problems.

    Hey, I got an i touch 3g 8 gig for xmas. I am becoming thoroughly frustrated as my apps will not work. I restored because some apps were opening then closing instantly. I've tried restoring and the only apps that did work before then do not work now after reinstalling. The rest of the family has iphones and said they never had this problem and don't know how to help me. Well at least my music works - had that with the sansa - so $199 down the drain? pissed.

    @carnier--

    What firmware are you using? Jailbroken or not?

    I have a brand new iPod Touch 32G received for Christmas this year. All the apps that I downloaded show as loading very briefly and then just disappear. I went online and tried almost everything I read about. I deleted all the apps (they were all free ones from the iTunes store) and "rebought" them. Still no good. I did a hard reset by holding down the two buttons. I deleted all of them and "bought" them online on my laptop and then did a synch. None of them appeared on the iPod Touch. Seriously, I am about to throw this across the room! Fortunately, I know that won't help. What can I do? This is BRAND NEW. All I did was put some music on it from my iTunes. Any ideas?

    Tried the restore - for now, it's working. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks.
