    Hi !

On my Touch, I have "SSH" .. I click on it and turn on. Now. In the ultimate guide I found this:

    How to change permissions

SSH into your iPod Touch and open a SSH, and type:

    chmod -R a+x /Applications/*

SSH into your iPod? And that means? Open a SSH and type? Open what SSH and type where?

I installed OpenSSH and BSD. Its Jailbreaked 1.1.2. What should I do ?

    Thanks.

SSH is a way to access your files of your iPod. I can't remember the application for windows but for mac using Terminal you can type 'ssh -l root ip.address' and then type in that line after to correct the permissions to 755 (which is needed for most apps to function normal).

I'm not sure because I have a mac therefore use terminal:

Please Register or Log in to view images

All I would do is type:

ssh -l root 192.168.0.9 - To access my files of my iPod
    alpine - Password for SSH
    chmod -R a+x /Applications/* - The command I want terminal to execute

    For Windows

Windows: In WinSCP click on the app you want to change the permissions for and then click properties at the bottom. Somewhere in that properties you can change the permissions to 755 for read/write access and sorts. Just change it around until the number equals 755. I forget which combo that is.

For Mac users: I find that using Fetch SFTP works better than having to use terminal all the time. To change the permissions just click on "Get Info" and then on ownership and permissions to change to 755.

Also you can access the iPod touch from the finder by connecting to server and using ip address, username and password. You have to have AFP installed on your iPod touch. Im not sure how to change the permissions to 755 using this method, but you can transfer themes and other non-application items by doing this.

Is WinSCP the application used to access your files by SFTP (I use CyberDuck)?
If so, then 'Putty' is like terminal?

The only time I use windows is at school so I don't know much about them, especially the applications because they don't let us download anything.
