    um i know this is a newb question and im sorry but if i jailbreak my itouch 2g will i have to reinstall the firmware every time i restart my itouch?

    When the 2g jailbreak first came out, it was released in what was called a "Tethered version" which required the iPod to connect to a computer and run a program to reboot the device. However this tethered jailbreak has been replaced by an untethered jailbreak, and does not need any other programs to work.
