So I bought my first ipod the other day and its an 8gb touch. After looking at this forum (which I think will be very helpful) I think I can handle to jailbreak it. What I am wondering is how do I get new apps onto my ipod?

I would like nes games, a notepad program if available, maps also.

    Thanks

You can get new apps onto your iPod once it is jailbroken. Once you jail break it (there are many many guides on this forum showing how) a new app will be installed automatically called installer.app. From there you can automatically download other apps people have made providing you have access to wifi.

So as long as I have wi-fi, in the installer it will automatically pick up the apps that others have out there or do i need to go to a certain site to get them?

U just restore it using iTunes. there should be no problems because its only a software modification. if u restore it it will be back to normal.

    Edit: Joseph was faster.
