After some one stole my 2.1 jailbroken 1G iPod Touch, I have sort of fallen behind in the times. I got my 2G today, and I want to jailbreak it. Many guides say use redsn0w, and others say PwnageTool. I have both now, and I'm wondering what's the difference between them. Can I just use PwnageTool to properly jailbreak 3.0, or do I have to use redsn0w instead now? if you could point me to a link, that would be great, since I was searching in vain.

    thanks for your help

You choose the worst day to buy a 2g, tomorrow they are suppose to release a 3g lol, but back on topic you have to use redsn0w

you should return it now. the 3g will most likely be out tomorrow. the nyou could get a 2g for like $50 less if you don't like the 3g

Just keep in mind-the jailbreak will take a while for the newest iPods.
