NOOB question : Charging

    When the i-touch is switched off and plugged into USB does it still charge?

    If you mean completely turned off(you slide the red bar) Then no it doesnt. Well im quite sure it doesnt... hmmm. I charge mine when its just in sleep mode.

    I'm pretty sure that it automatically turns itself on if you plug it in, even if it's off.

    Obviously not such a silly question.... for a windows or mac user if you go by the replies !!

    Mine is also in sleep mode as im always putting music on it etc when its docked !

    Anyone know better yet ?

    yeah i just tried turning it off so it would charge faster, and so i stopped playing with it lol.

    Another charging question

    My Ipod touch only charges on the USB port of my Laptop. All other USB devices for charging in the car or wall mount plugs which worked fine with my nano don't charge the Touch. That's weird. Does anybody has a clue why? Is this a attempt from Apple to sell us more?

    It uses a different flavor of electricity, thats why, Apple would never do that to gets more monies from us

    why won't they? They are charging 90c for making ring-tone from songs you already paid 90c for
