Help badly needed!!! Ipod won't turn on completely!!!

Okay, I need some help again, I think my iPod is buggered!

When I press the home button or the one on top, it takes me to the normal screen, but it won't let me do anything else. I can't slide the unlock bar, and I can't do anything with the music player either. Duoble pressing the home button does bring it up, but I can't play, skip or move the volume slider.

It's as if the touch screen isn't recognising my finger anymore.

I'm sure this has been answered somewhere in the stickies before, but I don't really want to look through all of the posts. Do I need to buy a new screen? Is it a simple fix? Will I still keep all my apps, songs, etc. on it when it's fixed?

Sorry for the amount of questions, but I'm really frustrated by this. If anyone can help me I wil be eternally grateful

Try holding the power button (hardware button on the top) until you see the power off slider then slide that. But if your touchscreen really doesn't work at all, hold the home and power button down until it shuts off. Then connect it to your computer via USB.
    Hope that helps.

    Another problem

    Okay, have another problem.

I just bought an album on iTunes, with 44 songs. Got bored half way through, so I decided to sync my iPod, because I hadn't done so in a while.

Now, all of the songs that hadn't downloaded aren't coming in. They all say "Download error. Tap to retry". But nothing happens when I tap the songs.

    Am I missing something?

(Told you I'd have a lot of questions needing answering
