See thread title.
At this point, Temper4iPhone is the only one that's out, but that's only for beta testers. NerveGas' NES app is amazing though, and was the first app with a GUI on 2.0.
I know that gpSphone and gameboy4iphone are ZodTTD's next two projects.
they haven't ported them yet
None work as of yet, but he's been accepted into the Developer's Program and he might be whipping up something better and more magnificent for us all. I guess it's safe to say that the emulators will come out eventually.
Keep in mind that emulators won't be available in the AppStore because there's no legal way to distribute ROMs, and apps aren't allowed to execute third-party code (that isn't part of the app).
But couldn't he put EMU's in the appstore under the pretense of say, playing homebrew ROMs?
Yes but the App Store cannot hold actual... ROMs that are needed to pay for. But in a sense, if someone made a home brew of tetris. They would be able to release it.
Couldn't the appstore distribute homebrew ROMs though?
If people wanted ROMs of actual games, they would obtain them themselves.
Lord knows, there's only a billion or so ROM sites. =)
Tetris is a freelance game, along with Pacman, Pong, and basically EVERY Atari game.
That's the reason why you don't see a Mario made game.
So I don't understand why emulators are bad.
They're like bit ******* programs.
They're not designed for illegal use,
But that's usually what they get used for.
