None of my apps will open on my new Ipod Touch 3rd gen.

    On 3.1.1, or 3.1.2

none of them will open, they will flash for a second then go back to the springboard.

I've restored, reset all settings, turned on and off. everything

    can anybody help me?

Is your device authorized to use those Apps?

Hard reset (hold lock and home buttons down until the device restarts)

    Or,

Plug device into iTunes, un-select the option to sync apps, sync, then, sync again with the selection of syncing apps selected. (i.e. uninstall all apps and reinstall them.)

My friend just had the same problem and this helped.

Same thing happened to me - Turn off both machines, touch and computer, restart and resync. The icons are there but the programs really aren't. I called cust service and they had me retry - it worked - and I looked like an idiot. Mine now works fine. Just resync - don't reset. Mine did exactly what you are describing except that on my new 3g, the original programs (contacts, stocks, etc.) all work fine and the downloaded programs flashed the homescreen for a half second and then crashed.

Maybe you should try restoring it if this still doesn't work. Sounds like a major bug in the OS system?

DFU restore is the fix to alot of these kinds of problems.

I tried restore, but the problem is still there.

But hard reset solve the problem.
