    a little more information please

like maybe which apps your trying, and when it started working. but even with that information i think I may have some ideas

This has happened to be before, try resyncing your ipod, but before that, try downloading ANY app from the Itunes App Store, after that installs completely, all your apps should work fine also, if not, resync

no need to restore i think

are these apps from cydia, or appstore ones?

    try:
    1. reinstalling an app then deleting it
    2. resync your appstore apps
    3. last resort: restore

the first one usually doesnt work for me (no idea why), but the second one always gets it.

    This happens to me too...

When i download an app it works just fine, until I turn the iPod off.

When I turn it back on, and try to open the app, it closes it self after 2 sec.

    Now, it just happened again!
The last time this happened, I think i deleted the app and downloaded it again to fix the problem, but there's got to be an easier way!

Does anyone know what i can do?

    Hi,
Glad I found this post, thought i was doing something wrong. I have had me Ipod touch for few days now (my 1st ipod) and this is happening with me none of the apps will run not unless i install a new app from the store..
Is there no fix for this or what ??? will send a bug report to apple about this but would have thought there would be some quick fix by now..

    Thanks..

It happened to mine and I plugged it into a computer with the USB cable that comes with it and the apps and videos started working again. It's happened twice in 2 or 3 weeks for me. It happened again a few minutes ago and it's working from putting it in the computer again.

I think that the problem has to do with permissions. it happened to me before. i clicked on an app and then the app would start to boot but then close. I opened sbsettings and then did something with the permissions and they all worked again.

It happened to me when I first got my ipod touch
What happened was it was syncing and I accidently unplugged it when it was syncing the apps. Just resync with iTunes or reinstall the apps

    Ok, here's what you do...

    1. lock it and unlock it

if that didn't work keep reading

    2. tep One
Open iTunes and connect the iPhone to your Mac.

    Step Two
Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time.

    Step Three
After exactly 10 seconds release the Sleep/Wake button. Continue holding the home button until you iTunes pops up a message telling you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.

    Step Four
When that happens press the power and home button until your ipod/iphone shuts down (DON'T SLIDE THE SHUT DOWN BAR)

    Step Four
It should start up as normal!!!

    HOPE I HELPED
