Windows Phone 7 phones won't run Windows Phone 8.

    Which is stupid.

They do get 7.8, and hopefully future updates as well

This article doesn't explain anything except put a negative spin on it. The current Windows phone 7 phones will get all of the new features except those which it can't have because it lacks the hardware, which is why they're getting 7.8 and not 8 because the hardware doesn't support it. There's no point saying the 3GS still gets updates because them updates don't even add anything. Yet another bias article.

I haven't explained it very well but if anybody else wants to look up the full story they can.

That's because it is an extremely negative situation. The Nokia Lumia 900 came out in April and won't get Windows Phone 8 by this Fall, that's ridiculous. Sure, 7.8, but the fact is that it's not getting the next major update (WinPhone8), no matter how close 7.8 is. I'm fed up of people writing "bias article" on every single iFans story, it's getting annoying. I clearly mentioned that the iPhone 3GS doesn't get all the features, but it still gets several others.
I'm not being biased. Everything I stated is valid and factual. Stop complaining.

Okay, the 3GS is 1098 days old or three years or 94,867,200 seconds or 1,581,120 minutes or 26,352 hours or 156 weeks (rounded down).

The Nokia 900 is 164 days old or 5 months and 12 days or 14,169,600 seconds or 236,160 minutes or 3936 hours or 23 weeks (rounded down).

The point being: Apple doesn't drop support for it's devices/users after 164 days.

The article just seems bias, that's just some people opinion.

You triggered a pet peeve of mine.
Biased. There are multiple definitions of simply the word "bias". You can see them here. The word you want is "biased", which is an adjective.
Anyways. I'm with Joe (edit: Kiks).

I just wish users would actually point out where I am being biased instead of simply bringing up that accusation. So far, the only biased part that has been brought up is the iPhone 3GS part, when all I did is factually state that the 3GS will have support for iOS 6. This is true. I clearly identified that the 3GS won't get all the leading features, but it's still supported and gets dozens among dozens of minor features and enhancements.

But they haven't dropped support for the Lumia 900.

I thought it was relatively clear a long time ago that Windows Phone 8 would likely require much greater hardware than 7 limited. WP7 has been out for three years. It's sad that the Lumia 900 came out so late in the game, but then go look at 7-out-of-10 new Android devices, they will never have milestone updates either. At least Microkia will bring some updates to the Lumia devices, and the Marketplace isn't shutting down or anything. And MANY new apps will still work on WP7, as The ONLY apps that won't run on WP7 are ones that require the *few* added code languages available to devs in WP8, and they will likely only be games, which wouldn't run good on WP7 hardware anyway. It sucks, but I don't see why many are making this to be a much bigger deal than it needs to be, the world hasn't come to a complete stop.

Also, the 3Gs is still only being supported because they still sell it. I'm sure iOS 6 will run on the 3Gs like Vista on 1GB RAM.
