Nobody may get the new, just released, iPad at all!

    This from Apple's website....

This device has not yet been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission. This device is not, and may not be, offered for sale or lease, or sold or leased, until authorization is obtained.

So what could this mean? A delay in shipping? A change of name?

    Please give your thoughts!

I'm not sure how long the process takes, but 60 days (Wi-Fi) and 90 days (3g) is probably enough for this thing to go through. Apple's always been smart about this, and timing it to come out when they want. (even though it shouldn't be hard to)

They'll get it. They didn't do it beforehand, because it would had of revealed the iPad before they wanted.

I remember when Apple made this mistake before. I think it was for the iPhone? I'm not entirely sure. But it was leaked in the FCC report or something...

Well the real point I'm concerned about is that iPad is a registered trade mark of Fujitsu Siemens. They have card-swiping smartphonish thing with the same name.

    PS. sorry if off-topic

It'll be approved by FCC, no worries.

The president of Fujitsu is probably rolling around in a pile of money as we type.

And yes. They'll get FCC approval in a heartbeat. This is Apple we're talking about.
