Did you even read the title of the thread? You are not bricked. Put your iPod into DFU mode, and stop being so ignorant. Please Search next time.

    Hi,
I hope an iPod touch can not be bricked, but this ipod is pushing it:-S
    I have an iPod Touch 1G 16GB

The screen is constantly black. It is beeing recognized by iTunes in recovery mode. I have then put it in DFU by holding power and home for 10-15 sec, then holding home till its again recognized. The restore in itunes completes, but reports error 6, and the ipod is restarted in recoverymode. The screen only lights up during recovery, other than that it is all black.
I have tried newest ZiPhone, iRecovery, iPhuc, iNdependence, Mac Boot tool to make it boot normally.

iRecovery cant find the ipod touch, even after countless attempts to restart (10sec both, i know), holding home when connecting etc, and even when putting in DFU mode. Mac boot tool from this forum reports error as well. I also tried iRecovery on windows (I did install libusb), but it could not find the iPod even though Windows reported it as in DFU mode.

I have also tried earlier itunes version (7.5) on windows computer, again in DFU, but no luck. It is recognized in iTunes, but none of the tools manage to find it. I have tried several macs as well.

Anyone with a clue to how to solve this?

    Would really appreciate it:)
