[solved] No WiFi, DHCP stays empty

    Hi everyone.

I came here hoping there was someone who could help me with this, since I searched the whole net for a fix, but couldn't find anything.

I have a 3G iPod Touch, 32GB, about 6 months old, jailbroken with not much crap installed, I basicly only use it for the custom themes.

All of a sudden my WiFi stopped working. I can connect to any network, but I do not get the signal bars, and when I try to open a webpage I get an error saying "Operation could not be completed. Invalid argument."

Also, when I tap the network I am connected to, it doesn't show anything under the DHCP tab, it's all blank (IP-adres, subnetmask, router, etc.).

I tried forgetting the network, refresh the lease, and completely resetting the network setting, all to no avail.

This is really starting to piss me off, because it was ideal to just go on the internet when I couldn't sleep.

I hope someone knows how to fix this, help would be greatly appreciated.

What type of router is it? If it's the same as me this is how I fixed it:

    1) forget the network
    2) reboot
    3) reconnect to it
    4) renew lease
    5) reboot again

that's how I got it to work again

Thanks I'll try that and post results.

With reboot you mean just hold the power button to shut it off?
And in my case boot with blackra1n.

    Daconerror, you're my hero.

I didn't have to do the second reboot, but it's working again.
After forgetting the network and rebooting it finally showed an IP etc.
Wasn't working though, so renewed the lease, and immediatly got a message from TapTap that new songs were available.

    I'm using a sitecom router, WL-535.

I've looked for this solution for ages, and looked for hours on the internet.
I saw there were more people with this problem, and no-one ever knew the solution.
