Hi guys....First off, I know there are already threads like this, but either they don't come to a solution....Or the alternate method requires your computer to have a WiFi card, which I do not.

So here it is (btw, if this is in the wrong section could a mod please correct me)
Is there a way that I can view all the files on my iPod Touch 2G running 2.2.1 just as if I was SSHing into it....But through the connector cable?....

I desperately need this, thanx in advance guys....

I take no credit for this, but it has always worked a treat for me. Also, if you download Putty and combine it with WinSCP, it's by far the best way to get a console connection to your iPhone/Touch too.

    Hope it helps.

    firmware 3.0 or 2.2.1?

All of them are good, but if you are on firmware 3.0 then you can't use all of the other software above. You'll just have to be patient and wait and google because 3.0 is quite new.

If your on 3.0 you need to disable all the exe's that installed with itunes 8.2 that start up with your computer and then restart and ssh without starting itunes up cuz it will start all the exe's. Try this... Start>Run>msconfig>startup tab> uncheck anything that looks sketchy or from apple i usually have everything disabled besides ctfmon and Microsoft office

if you dont need to be able to repair permissions then use iFunBox, it works great for 3.0, but if you do, use the WinSCP+iPhoneTunnel method... iFunBox skips all the log in crap and just allows you to accsess and move and edit files. and add. but if u need to repair permissions, then do what I stated above.
