I was trying to update my firmware when itunes crashed. now the ipod (first gen 8gb touch) is in restore mode i think. it wont do anything. the ipod is too full of media to get the new update, and every time i plug it into itunes i get an error message saying i need more memory on the ipod. Now when i look in itunes while the pod is plugged in, it isnt there. i dont know what to do....

i cant remove anything from the ipod, when i plug it in, all i get is that it is full and cannot be updated, and itunes wont even acknowlege that it is plugged in after that. it doesnt show up in "removable devices" or anything like that. how can i remove media without itunes?
