My son's 2G Touch will not power on. I have tried searching this forum for this and could use some advice. He fell on it and it stopped working. the computer doesn't recognize it. I have tried the DFU sequence, but the touch is completely dead. Nothing shows up at all. Should I send it in to get it fixed or are there some other things I can try ? He has had it for about 2 months and was very careful with it prior to the fall. He hasn't changed any of the original settings or opened it. Any help is appreciated.

Apple warranty doesn't cover that kind of damage

Do you recommend having it fixed ?? How else can I figure out what is wrong with it ?

Not sure where you got the idea I thought it was covered under warranty. Just asked if it is worth getting it fixed.
