I think maybe you could all a section to the forums called "No newbs allowed" or something like that where people who aren't new to the iPod Touch / iPhone scene can talk without them seeing something that confuses them and makes them think something completely wrong. And to access the forum, you have to be reviewed by a mod (like they'll check your post history and see if you're good enough to be allowed in the section) but only after you request to be reviewed.

This is supposed to be a help forum for all... by excluding new users, how will that encourage growth?

Beyond that, who'd determine what's not a 'newb'? Post count isn't a good indicator, nor is joining date.

If such a thing were ever to happen, we'd have all the 'veterans' staying in there, and all of the 'newbs' posts wouldn't get answered.

    Just no.

It's just stupid, I don't get why people want an "elitist" forum.. it just seems ridiculous. We were all there at some point, and some people still are >..> Discriminating people because of their lack of knowledge is absurd and I completely disagree anything to do with it.

As Jarlath has already said, post count IS NOT not an indication of whether a member is good or not, and people judging others such as this forum would do is why it was removed.

Also, it basically defeats the purpose of this site - to help people, old and new alike, with issues surrounding their iDevices. Newbs need help a lot of times, and that's why were here,
