Okay, so i've been reading up on libusb and what not, and i've created a very basic tool, for MAC AND WINDOWS, that does this:

    1. connects to your ipod 2g in dfu, and sends the ibss file
    2. disconnects, and reconnects, then patching everything for the next ibss file(THESE ARE TEH LONG COMMANDS eg: mw 0xwhatever).
    3. optionally, you can have it send the img3 file to boot it up(not needed until after restore to custom firmware)

should be a release tonight! a one-click boot.

Is this just for booting it up. Because that is what I need right now, an easy way to boot it.

people have been very confused when it comes to dfu mode, caused by their inability to read directions & time things correctly. This should put an end to all the nonsense, and i thank you.

Just fyi, you don't need to enter all those commands one-by-one. If you have it all written in Word or Notepad, you can just copy/paste it and it will run each line automatically.

yeah this is for booting up.

you'll just have to click the big shiny button that says boot, and everything shall go.
