I was listening to my iPod touch (1st gen, 16GB) yesterday when suddenly, the headphones stopped working in one ear. I twisted the cord around a bit, until I finally got hold of the sound in both ears (I had to push the headphones tightly to achieve this), only to lose it just as quickly. I tried replacing my headphones for several others, only to meet the same problem once more. What is going on? I've restored the iPod, but nothing ... thus, I am currently listening to music exclusively from the right headphone. Help?

Can that be done if I don't have a check? i got it last August, but I'm not sure if there is a one year warranty?

I think I read a thread somewhere that said Apple would repair it for $30.

I Think $30 To Repair An Audio Jack Is Really Good.
