I just wanted to check that I wasn't going mad, but since I upgraded my 16gb 3G iphone to 3.0, I've noticed that when I take pictures it no longer blurs and I dont have to keep my hand totally still to get a half decent picture!

I only noticed because I was watching some drunk idiot jump off Camden lock bridge on the weekend (see attached) and wanted to get a picture of him jumping so I just kept pressing the take photo button over and over again. I was moving around a bit and when I looked back at the photos realised that non were the usual blurry cr4p that I used to get when taking photos with 2.1 firmware.

pretty sure the 3g doesnt have the autofocus lens....

basically, the rendering of the camera is better than the previous versions.

now we just need to figure out how to get native video recording done on the 3g.

A software update upgraded the hardware?
I wish this was digg, you would get ripped apart. I would say another site, but i believe it is banned.

suggestion: why don't you just jailbreak and get that cycorder or whatever from Cydia?

    I highly recommend jailbreaking.

Cool. I never used the camera on my iphone because of that reason. You had to hold the camera perfectly still. Glad they fixed that.

Cycorder works very good though. Suprised at how well the videos looked at such low fps. A little choppy but its as good as you can get with that hardware.

its not that the hardware cant support it, its because we dont have the same tools that apple had to develop the software, and cycorder does record very nice videos
