I have looked and tried the various solutions I have seen but still have the same problem.

    - I can easily get the ipod into DFU mode (iTunes shows restore, screen on ipod remains black.
    - I have libusb installed, and when I run the tester program it shows the ipod plugged in and specified as DFU mode.
    - I have tried all the USB ports on my laptop (vista)

When in cmd trying to send the ibss2.1.1 dfu I ALWAYS get "Got USB - No Iphone/Ipod found."

I'm sure it's something simple but I have seriously run out of ideas on this.

Put it in DFU mode with your ipod connected to your computer, then open iTunes and wait for your ipod to appear (just to make sure its connected). Then close itunes.

This is what I get, and the iPod doesnt turn white!

And yes it is in DFU mode (When I opened iTunes it said it found an iPod in repair mode (which is DFU right?) My iPhone screen stays black..

    Also!
In system property's I got the iPod DFU found as hardware, so thats confirmed that it is in DFU mode...
