I've been buying 1 earphone after another... until I realized that the problem was probably with my Ipod. The earphones work when I plug them into my computer or other Ipods. Basically, when I plug them into my Ipod, 1 side goes static-y and the sound goes and comes. The other side is fine.

My 1 year standard warranty is probably done. I got the Ipod in Jan 2009. I bought the Ipod at Walmart and paid extra for a 1 year warranty I think. What can I do?

I did pay extra (I think), but I entered my Ipod serial online, and it says my warranty was expired

I doubt that would do anything, this sounds like a hardware problem.

Very true, but sometimes these issues have to do with the way it's reading the audio input. I had this happen to me once.
