On my new iPod Touch (8GB) everything works great.
Except when I connect to a TV all video turns out B&W.
    No color at all.
Video and all You Tube content all B&W on TV and color on iPod Touch.
I am using Apple's original "Component AV Cable".
I live in California and I tried on 3 different TVs with same result.
On a 50 inch Plasma TV, on a 32 inch Flat Screen and on a 19 inch small portable TV results all are the same.
I flipped TV signal out NTSC to PAL and the picture completely disappeared.(As expected).
Picture is clear as it could be (permitted by the resolution) and sound is OK too but the picture has no color at all.
It looks like I am watchin 50's TV shows.
    Any reason?
iPod Touch is 2 weeks old and Best Buy says I can return it if I determine that there is a problem with this one and get a new one.
Should I or is there a simple solution to overcome this obstacle?

    Thanks in advance guys...

my friend had this problem with his ps3. Make sure you go into settings and make sure the PAL/NTSC settings are the same as your tv. If you TV is imported or your ipod is imported, they both need to be pal or ntsc. I think this is what fixed my friends ps3.

Well, I don't know the Import/Export history of my devices but I purchased them all here in CA from Best Buy (Retail Store Chain). My Xbox and everything else works OK with all the TVs in my home and all other AV cables works OK too.
I tried another AV cable with my iPod same result. No color on TV.
Everything is set to NTSC signal.
I'll try with another one at the store today to see if it'll make any difference.
    Thanks guys,

Well I would say to try another AV cable in the store, on their TV. But since you tried an AV cable, maybe it is the pins on the dock connector that produce video. Try another ipod at a local store where you bought it from with your same AV cable.

I think you need the new touch compatible AV cable from Apple ($50).

It has to be the AV cable made exclusively for the touch

    Update !!!!!

I was using APPLE's special AV cable for specifically designed to support iPod Touch which I paid $49.99+tax.

I went to store and they told me that I need Apple's COMPOSITE AV CABLE not the COMPONENT AV CABLE I was using.

So we switched it and even though the quality of the picture a little compromised, at least now color came back.
    Whewww!!!
