My iPod recently started acting up and was stuck like this before (no backlight and wouldn't restore) but I was receiving Error 1604... Took it into the Apple store and they couldn't restore it and since its out of warranty I left the store with a still broken iPod... I didn't touch it for a few days, plugged it in and it worked fine...

But it would randomly freeze when I hit the home button and I couldn't shut it off or do anything... If I held Power+Home for 10 seconds it put it back into the "no blacklight connect to iTunes logo"... So I would let the battery drain completely, plug it into the pc, and then it would recover its self and work for a little while... But now its stuck like this and it's been sitting for 3 days... Every time I try a restore I get errors...

I've listed everything I've done and have searched every where with no help, so please if you have any info that could help me it'd be greatly appreciated...

You can see the backlight is off and displays connect to iTunes
