Not been on here in ages but felt the need to show my annoyance at the fact iOS4 is not available for 1st gen ipod touch!
I am well pissed off at this, is there any particular reason it can't be used on 1st gen? or is just because apple are being ****'s and hoping we'll buy an upgaraded ipod!
I got my ipod touch for christmas a couple of years ago i think it was, and the 2nd gen came out in january or february....YES THAT SOON! So i was annoyed then but now they are completely taking the piss!
Whats everyone else thoughts on this?

Had you ever seen how iOS 4 runs on iPhone 3G?

IOS 4 runs perfectly fine on my iPhone 3G. There is no legitimate reason for lack of iOS support on first generation devices other than forcing people to upgrade.

Don't forget that the iPhone 3G and iPhone are identical phones (the only difference being the 3G has a different cellular antenna and a GPS receiver) yet iOS 4 somehow works on the iPhone 3G but not the first generation iPhone? And considering the iPhone and the first generation iPod touch are essentially the same thing, there's no reason iOS 4 won't work on it.

I thought the original iPhone had a faster processor than the original iPod touch?

You do get Android, if you can get it to work
