This is just a thought, may or may not be true... but we'll know eventually.

First, we saw nes/snes games come to the GBC/GBA

Next, a few nintendo 64 games were ported over to the Nintendo DS

For the future, possibly gamecube games for the next portable console?

There is supposed to be a nintendo event sometime this fall so stay tuned!

I dunno, a DS micro wouldn't work too well, since the touchpad would be like a square inch...

LOL yeah... but I could see a ds 2 soon enough, hopefully compatible with current nintendo ds games.

Yeah, it's hard to say. They're kind of sitting on the DS right now.

I also noticed the lack of good nintendo ds games... the only ones I'm actually looking foward to now are kirby superstar, and line rider.... ahh. It would be smart to release a new portable system with better wifi capabilities (wpa and wpa2) faster processors, better graphics, and a better online play system (no friend codes, just usernames)

It's a fact they'll maker another portable console, whether it'll be called the " DS 2" I'm not sure... There is really only one question : Will it beat the PSP2 (which is almost definitely coming out)?

They'll both beat the iPhone/iPod Touch though won't they (in terms of processing power)?

as of now the iphone/ipod touch has more power but apple limits it.

The PSP2 which will most likely come out, will probably have slightly improved graphics and be a little smaller.

One thing I've also been wanting for my ds is a functional joystick

I hope it is actually not compatible, as strange as it sounds

If they make a whole new system they can upgrade it with new features,
But if the compatibility is still there the system has to keep itself to the limit of those older games

    ,
You know the Wii could do better in graphics but wasn't possible because of the gamecube compaibility. but hey
