    Hi iPodTouchFans

I was just wondering is it possible to use the Nike+ software on an
iPod Touch 32GB 1st gen with firmware 2.1 & NOT JAILBROKEN?

If you could get back to me that would be great help

You have to have the adapter for it. It's not built in, but I'm sure you know that. But yes, I'm sure it will work fine.

Well we brought the kit for my mum when it was first bought out into the shops
so i have the adapters to put in the trainer and the ipod usb slot.

But i was just wondering as i was reading spoonforknife's user manual and it said that with Firmware 2.1 it came with Nike+iPod integration. But then i thought this may only apply to the 2nd Gen iTouch

No. The 2g integration means that the piece that goes into the USB port of your iPod, is already built into the 2g. My brother had the kit from his 1g, but he stopped using it and gave it to me. All I have to do is sync the chip that goes on my shoe to the preinstalled app in my iPod.

I've never done it and the 2g's aren't jailbreakable yet. But my little bro has it done and he loves it. It's pretty much failsafe at this point, my only suggestion would be upgrade to 2.1 FW. I've head that it works better that way.

Ah thanks for the advice, i have been wondering whether or not to do it for a while, and thought i would only do it if i have 2 ipods/ipod or iphone.
Then again ive heard so many good things about it and no bad things about it.
    Personal preference i guess?

Thanks very much for the help/advice Johnny W
