can somebody give me a tutorial or show me how to get ngrep running. I got the file downloaded but have no clue how to get it running or where to put it on the touch. This is pretty much the first thing i haven't been able to figure out since i can't find a vid or anything else.

    Please help

    Easiest way to get it:
Install the Ericas utility programs and ported utilities.
In the terminal add her stuff to your path with this command:

    "export PATH=$PATH:/var/root/bin/"

    Then run these commands:

    "cd /var/root/bin"
    "wget corepod.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/ngrep.tar"
    "tar -xvf ngrep.tar"
    "rm ngrep.tar"

You should be good to go and type "ngrep" from wherever now. If you aren't able to add it to your PATH try this:

type "ls" when you are in the directory where ngrep is and hit enter and make sure you see ngrep in the list

then type "./ngrep" to run it. You can add commands to that too like "./ngrep -whatever"

By the way if you want to make these changes permanent you need to make a file called

    ".profile"

in your root folder with this inside:

    "export PATH=$PATH:/var/root/bin/"

also when exiting... i have to retype the cd/var/root/bin command to launch ngrep again. I also created the .profile file in my root folder

    u gotta type "cd Directory/Where/Ngrep/Is" then type "./ngrep -O Blah/Blah/blah.pcap"

or if u made a .profile all u gotta do is type "ngrep -O Blah/Blah/Blah.pcap"
