Have not even received my ITouch yet-should be here tomorrow, so this may be a premature question. But while logging in and trying to be somewhat aware, the login page is asking about Firmware version and Jailbreak status. I assume the info I get with the ITouch will tell me this?

The firmware is pretty much the version of the iPhone OS the device is running. The one yours comes with will be 3.0 or greater.

Jailbreak status is whether your device has been jailbroken or not. You can get information on that around this forum or check this Wikipedia page
