Hi all new member here i couldnt see a introduce yourself area on the site so here i am.

Anyway i have just bought a 8 gig 2nd Generation ipod Touch its on Firmware 2.2.1 and have a few questions.

Is there advantages to Jailbreaking the itouch

Is it firmware proof someone has told me if you jailbreak the firmware the next firmware will make yer itouch useless and apple will come after you for tampering.

Is it easy to do ive done Custom Firmwares on Sony PSP,S so have some experience.

What can i get if i jailbreak it.

Thats About it i think any help will be greatful cheers

Ok well Apple will certainly not come prying if you jailbreak and then update firmwares.
There are many advantages to jailbreaking. The most common are themes, emulators, and some Cydia(third party App) apps that let you tinker with your iPod. When you jailbreak though, you void your warranty, but I am pretty sure if it ever broke you could DFU restore it and they wouldn't know.

Jailbreaking an iPod touch is a ton easier than hacking a PSP.

At least, it is in my opinion.
