I had to restore my computer back to new, and before that I was able to jailbreak my ipod touch 32G so I was very happy, then while I was on line my ipod was still plugged in. itunes came up in the back ground and put me in restore mode and then when i went to restore it, the only option was (You can restore but you have to upgrade at the same time to 3.1.1) that is Y
P.S. from what I hear you can not jailbreak the ipod with the new update.

If you backed up your 3.0 ipsw, you can restore to that, then use redsn0w to jailbreak. Otherwise you'll have to wait until a 2G 3.1 jailbreak is released
