With the new free app for transferring files called "discover", you can view any photo saved in the photo app directly from this application. This means those photos that you saved from Safari that look bad in the photo app, can be viewed at the original resolution in Discover. Also, there is a previous and next button so that you don't have to go back and select the next photo. This is much easier and better than opening your photo with Scribble and then resaving each one.

Great news, though this should be corrected with the next firmware.

SPOKE WITH APPLE Inc. PRODUCT SPECIALIST!!!

I just spoke with an "Apple Produce Specialist" Supervisor for Apple Inc. (not an easy number to find, but a GREAT resourse - [ 1-(408)-996-1010 then ask for a Product Specialist for iPod Touch 2G] - DO NOT bother with AppleCare, they are clueless to glitches.

    THAT BEING SAID....
She told me that she had not heard of this issue yet, and I told her that it seems to be a common problem, then she said that she would research it online to see if it were in fact a common issue. I then gave her the url to this exact thread and she pulled it right up, quoting the title to me! She then said she would send an expedited email to the iPod/iPhone software engineers to check it out and hopefully.....FIX IT!!!

I encourage all of you to call the Apple Customer Service number I included above and talk to a Product Specialist about this as well so that they CLEARLY get the message....GOODLUCK ALL!
