So my friend finally convinced me to jailbreak my 2G Ipod Touch last and now that I have installer and Cydia, I'm completely clueless on how to use them.

Can I have some general guidance or maybe a link to an already existing thread on this?

    Thanks

    Open Cydia.
    Install stuff.
    Enjoy.

For some good stuff to install, see this list.

Install winterboard to get some cool themes for your touch and take a look at the apps they have. Also make sure to install 3rd party repositories so you can install more apps.

Open Cydia. Search for Winterboard. Download it.
Open Cydia. Download all the Repositories. Look for Themes. Download the ones you like.

Some applications you may find useful:

    SBSettings.
    Cycorder (A video recorder).
Categories (Have too many apps? Well here's your solution).
FontSwap (Got bored of the default font? You can change it now).
MIM aka Make it Mine (Let's you customize what your status bar says (you can replace the time, and the carrier text/logo).

There are many more but these are the ones worth mentioning (the ones I have to be exact).

Enjoy having a jailbroken iTouch. You won't regret it.

Read what you can around the forums, it's a great resource. Also, once you figure it out it's not to difficult to comprehend everything (the basic stuff atleast)

    Have fun with it!
