Recently installed mac on my usb hard drive. So i got no clue how to work this beast os.
Anyways whenever i install a .dmg, a white thing comes up on my desktop, and i click it to find a readme. My question is: how do i remove it?

All you have to do is click and hold to drag it and drag it into where the trash is but it will be an eject sign and it will go away or highlight it and press the eject button on the keyboard

    Hope this is useful

Or right click eject. You can also do it from finder.

Yea once your install the dmg. Just throw it into the trash. Its so easy, its hard to think you could do it.
