    This one looks too boring. The old one looks WAY better.

    Considering I've only had the default icons on my iPod for about the 10 minutes it took me to jailbreak originally, I don't care too much either way

    I don't have much preference on what the defaults look like because, like Danls, I usually change the icons within a couple minutes of a restore. I forget what the original one looks like so I couldn't really care less.

    EDIT: I just found what the original one looked like, and I must say if I had to choose, I would go with the new one. You can tell Apple is trying to extend their theme of simplicity, because even their icons are simplified. And that is the main difference between the new icon and the old icon, simplicity. And since I dislike clutter and prefer neatness, I like the new icon because there isn't much to it, its clean-cut, right to the point.
