    Hey all i want to jailbreak my 8gb ipod touch. It has 3.0 and i cant figure out what to do, i don't have WiFi but of course have internet.

    I also need to know where to DL these apps and how to install them.

    you need redsn0w 0.8 from this site: http://[PIRACY.tb].org/user/iphonedev/
    then just get it running and follow its instructions and youll be set, but by apps i hope u mean cydia or icy, and they come packaged in right after the jailbreak, just choose cydia by itself though, then install icy manually, there is a problem if you put both in at the jailbreak and i dont know if it is fixed yet. But after that you will be all set

    once you jailbreak you can use cyder to get the apps

    crap i forgot that part when i typed it all in, but yeah hes right download cyder and use that, it transfers the apps over your USB so no wifi is needed

    So i DL Cyder to transfer the apps, and after jailbreak Cydia will be on my touch already.

    Well i just Jailbroke and i believe also bricked my touch, it was finishing the jailbreak and it turned black now it wont turn on, when i plug into my PC, and press home and power its says usb malfunction.

    You cannot brick an iPod (well through software at least). Put it into DFU mode, restore and then re-jailbreak if you wish.

    cyder works but it only installs one package at a time like if you dload something from cydia it dloads the other packages to make that one package to work, ie; if you download winterboard via cyder you need to dload mobile substrate and stuff while if you try to dload winterboard in cydia it will automatically dload mobile substrate

    Well i have tried 12 times with multiple stupid installers, and none work this is gay. F apple n ipod.

    K after 43 epic fails and a bunch of downloads i finally got it to break.
