Okay so the motherboard on my old laptop fried. I'd like to buy a new one and fix it but is this an easy fix?

I have an Acer Aspire 5102WLMi
    AMD Turion 64x2 Mobile Technology
    ATI Radeon Xpress 1100
    120 PATA HDD
    w/ Windows XP Media Center

    option 2)

Take out the hard drive and use it as a backup. buy a case, etc.

    option 3)

If not... how much do you think the laptop is worth?

Any chance i can still access the monitor?? Thanks.

if you can buy a new motherboard that works with the computer its fixable. i won't say its easy because it requires you to take out every component but if you have some good experience taking apart computers you could do it.

    hm.
honestly this would be a project.

i should probably just take the hard drive out, case it and sell the laptop as broken?
