So if all the Macbook Pro's batteries cannot be removed. Does this mean you cannot upgrade the ram yourself? This is a ripoff if this is true because we should always have the option to get more.

No you cannot remove the bottom. You will have to get a technician to do it. This is the only way they could put the 7hr battery in them.

That kind of ruins the price cut. So the lowest Macbook Pro is a bad deal basically. Ill just wait another year

I dont know, I think the 17in pros only had a few screws around the bottom plate and you can get to the HDD and the memory. Could/should be the same with the others. Its aluminum so its not like plastic they snap together like the old plastic ones, there has to be screws somewhere. I'll check it out next time I'm at best buy.

Well its not recommended you take it apart if you dont know what your doing.

Im pretty sure it has screws, but its for the people that dont know how to put it back on.

If its anything like the old 13 and 15 inchers then it should be really easy. Its actually pretty convenient the way its in there. Remove the back panel and there it is.

just because you cant remove the battery, doesnt mean the whole laptop is sealed. i'm pretty sure you can add ram yourself... I also think the battery is sealed by law/in fear of lawsuits because the amount of lithium in it could make a crapload of meth.
