I have an ivy with hd 4000 and minecraft does not run well on max settings
So after reading these posts and researching some more, I am really learning towards getting the Macbook Pro. Do you guys think I should invest the extra $200 for the 16 gig RAM. While I do want to future proof it, I doubt that programs in the future will need 16 gigs of RAM to run. Also, I am probably going to sell it in 3-4 years to get a newer model, and I don't that I will be able to sell it for $200 more just because of the RAM.
I don't think it's worth it. You won't need it. Stick with 8GB.
Windows or OSX, i3, i5, i7, chipset, ram, more info...

Second, if the OP is asking about a laptop, he probably needs it for portability. You can't carry and easily use a desktop everywhere you go.
