It says something like "this ipod cannot be used because the mobile device has not started yet" does anyone else get this message?

My 1.1.1JB crashed iTunes 7.7, I reinstalled 7.6 and am upgrading to 1.1.4, gonna see if that works.

go to start menu. and hit run.

then restart the service named apple mobile device by right clicking on it.

I'm not sure if that would help since the iTunes Mobile Device Service IS running. Anyway, I downloaded all my Apps via iTunes just so I knew they would be there for later and AIM is the only one not to install for some reason. SMB is there, just gotta wait for my music to sync so I can play around

It works now, but (probably because i'm UK) there is no appstore option in the iTunes store.
