New iPod Touch coming?

    Hi Folks,
    I have had my iPod Touch 3rd generation 32 gig since they where first released. I am itching for a new one, but don't want to buy a 4th generation, if a 5 is coming out this year. I have heard nothing about a new Touch. Is there any rumors of a new Touch this year?

    Yeah they're expected to be updated around the September time. The iPods are usually updated every year by the way.

    Apple will probably kill the iPod touch in the next year or two.

    Not last year they only released a white ipod touch 4g! I was not happy:mad:!

    I wonder why?

    iOS 1
    1.0: first iPhone
    1.1: first iPod touch

    iOS 2
    2.0: second iPhone
    2.1: second iPod touch

    iOS 3
    3.0: third iPhone
    3.1: third iPod touch
    3.2: first iPad

    iOS 4
    4.0: forth iPhone
    4.1: forth iPod touch
    4.3: second iPad

    iOS 5
    5.0: fifth iPhone
    5.1: third iPad

    There was always, up until now, a pattern of the iPod touch releasing every iOS x.1 update, but for iOS 5.1 there was instead a new iPad. In my mind, the iPod touch line has been terminated.

    Im guessing no. To me it seems like their putting their minds towards the iPad and the iPhone rather than the iPod Touch.

    I know. Even taking that into account, I think there will be another. They may not update them as often, but I don't think they're discontinuing them just yet.
